Trip Leaders

We feature a different team of trip leaders every few months. Here you can see the leaders who accompanied our group on our Lost World of Inner Asia: Tuva, Siberia, and Mongolia trip in August of 2002.

Dr. James Bosson
Distant Horizons Scholar

Dr. Bosson has been accompanying Distant Horizons trips for seven years. He taught at UC Berkeley for many years, while also conducting research in Central Asia, and is currently affiliated with Harvard University. Dr. Bosson is an expert on the language and culture of Mongolia and its Inner Asian cousins, Tuva and eastern Siberia. His teaching skill are readily apparent in his interesting lectures and engaging manner.

David Larson

David Larson is a physician based in Southern California, with a taste for travel. He has accompanied several Distant Horizons tours in the past, usually to rugged destinations like Inner Asia.

D. Otgannasan, “Oggie”
